Highly regarded 2020 Roero Arneis D.O.C.G wine is perfect wine for enjoying in the chicest locations throughout summer
Giovanni Rosso are excited to present their elegant 2020 Roero Arneis, which was first added to the range in 2013 and has since been further perfected and reintroduced for 2020. This iteration of the classic Arneis grape style is truly representative of its unique location in Roero and is now a definitive member of the Giovanni Rosso collection of wines.
It is the ideal accompaniment to al fresco dining, as an aperitif recalling Mediterranean shores and will be enjoyed throughout the summer whatever the occasion.
The D.O.C.G wine itself has a flavour profile which has super fresh minerality, explosive white florals and pear and peach fruit notes – it is almost tropical. Perfectly balanced with a savory finish it is truly a product of the beautiful sandy soils of the Roero region and will transport the tastebuds.
The Costa Delle Rose vineyard located in Castellinaldo d’Alba, at 280 meters a.s.l., the vines are now aged 30 and 40 years old growing in calcareous marl and sandy soil - which tell their own story of Roero’s marine origins. The growing season of the 2020 vintage has produced a typically classic Arneis grape. Following a rigorous selection process post a manual harvest in the first half of September, a short maceration in contact with skins and fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks this wine provides the perfect pairing for seafood.
Davide Rosso - Owner and Wine Maker at Giovanni Rosso stated,
“We strive to create beautiful wines which are representative of their origins. Our Arneis grapes are an absolute authentic example of this. With this vintage we have seen the culmination of years of exploration and development to capture this “little rascal” into our Roero Arneis wine”
